Exhibiting at Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk
Before becoming a vendor with 1st Fridays Art Walk, please read all the requirements and information before registering for an event.
In the warm weather months of Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk, vendors will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products on the lawn of Central Park, our town square green. This is a wonderful way for you to sell to the growing crowds that attend each Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk. Several 1st Fridays Art Walks during the cool winter months, exhibitors will have the opportunity to exhibit at the Fairfield Civic Center. Please check the "Vendor Registration" page to find out which months you can exhibit during the winter months.
Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk is about promoting the arts, culture and Fairfield Community. During 1st Fridays Art Walk, we are celebrating the many faces of creativity. Because Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk does not promote any political party or one sided opinions, it is prohibited for any vendors to distribute pamphlets, leaflets or engage in political campaigning or proselytizing and their application will be denied if your business engages in these activities.

General Information:
- Event Check In: Please check in at the 1st Fridays Art Walk Information booth the day of the event between 3pm - 5pm to receive booth assignments.
- To guarantee space, please register online a minimum of three days prior to the event.
- Placements: All booth placements on the square and at the Fairfield Civic Center is at the discretion of 1st Fridays Art Walk Board of Directors or their representatives. All placements are final.
- After unloading booth set-up materials and products, please park your vehicle at the city parking lot behind the First National Bank, located 1 block south from the square.
- State Tax: All vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting Iowa sales tax. 1st Fridays Art Walk bears no responsibility for payment of sales tax or local option tax.
Booth Requirements:
- All booths and exhibit areas are required to have the minimum booth furnishings: 3x6 or 3x8 table or professional free standing shelves and display areas.
- All tables are required to be covered to the ground and the space under the table will be used for storage. Supplies not displayed on the table must fit under the table.
- All vendors are allowed 2 chairs behind display table. Chairs must be clean and in good shape.
- Vendors are allowed to use s freestanding tent. No tent spikes are allowed on the greens due to the lawn's underground sprinkler system. Penetrating the lawn will result in a $200 fine from the City of Fairfield.
- All booths are required to be set up and ready to exhibit by 5:00pm. Vendors will not be able to set up after 6:15pm.
- Payment for the booth space is due 5 days prior to the schedule event. The booth spaces are assigned in the order they are paid for. Vendors are allowed to pay in advance for future 1st Fridays Art Walk.
- Vendors are not allowed to drive their vehicles on the Central Park lawn. Cars must remain on the space adjacent to the park.
- Food Vendors: All food vendors are required to have completed an application from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. Please call (515) 281-7102 to obtain the application or go to: www.state.ia.us/government
- City Permit Number: All vendors selling products during 1st Fridays Art Walk events are required to purchase a Fairfield City Permit. The permit is $15 and is valid for one year from the purchase date. Please call Fairfield City Hall at (641) 472-6193 for information.
