Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk's Vision Statement

Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk enjoys a regional reputation as a major community event celebrating the arts and provides the basis for Fairfield to be known as a Midwest Art Colony. Each art walk is a unified community event that celebrates the arts in all its forms, featuring high quality art and entertainment, lots of food and lots of fun. Occasionally art walk features a juried art event and some art walks encompass an entire weekend, highlighted with educational opportunities. This signature event has a powerful impact on the community, artistically, socially & economically.  Artists & participants gather from all across the area to learn, appreciate, enjoy, socialize & shop.  Art walk is an integral part of the economic community contributing to the success of the art galleries/vendors and shops downtown. Art walk is a self sufficient and financially solvent non profit organization with the beginnings of an endowment to create long lasting benefits for years to come. From their beautiful office overlooking the square, the art walk staff, board members & partners work together as a cohesive team, under a clear structure, to plan & execute creative, organized, smoothly functioning & successful events.
